O real do sintoma: sua política na clínica

Abstract

This work approaches the changes in the beliefs of the subject who seeks an analysis, taking into consideration the real of the symptom and its politics in the clinic. It departs from the real to the symptom as something which does not cease to not write itself, and then invites changes in the subject’s beliefs. It discusses how every person who seeks an analysis behaves, for believing that the symptom says something that needs to be deciphered. It introduces that, by contingency, that is, through the voice of the subject in analysis, something can come to write itself (S2), and that is what plays the role of real within the knowledge, a knowledge without subject, a knowledge which goes beyond the subject, and points to something that does not cease not to write itself: the One of the jouissance, the letter of jouissance. The conclusion is that the job of a psychoanalysis, with its specificities in neurosis and psychosis, is the treatment of the real of the symptom by the symbolic that presents the political incidence in which the psychoanalyst is summoned to deal with in the cure process.
