Abstract

This article emerges from the impasse caused by the abrupt dissolution of a cartel, raising several questions regarding its functioning and its consequences as a device oriented toward the School. How can one sustain a desire to work within a cartel, convey the function of linking, and allow crises to be transformed into production? A risky wager, full of holes, which—as Lacan points out—leads each one to come up against “the real at stake in the formation of the analyst,” a real that is also present in the very structure of this device’s functioning.
