Abstract

The School of Psychoanalysis might be a place that can be built up in a flexible way, whenever people come together and work through their unique tools: Cartel and Pass? These tools, very old in nature, can help spark new ideas because they work based on how each person decides to use them. This article aims to share a piece of “knowledge” gained from working with the Pass tool, starting with the role of the passer. A passer, caught up in their own damaged and flawed web, longing for a fix that starts to tear open, showing a way out, gets ready to weave. In the simple effort to avoid getting tangled, they forget that making a path isn’t straightforward. Thus, the tool changes from a loom to a trap. Trying to catch something, a passer might end up being caught, experiencing a new way of understanding hidden “knowledge”. Getting caught in this trap of words, one can step beyond usual meanings, making room for new ideas to be written down.
