The Other and the anguish

The text is a dialogue between Freud and Lacan on the unconscious and anguish. I start with the unconscious as a discourse and then place of the Other in Lacan's teaching, in order to examine the three different conceptions of the unconscious in Freud, with a view to the unconscious that Lacan proposes when, in the field of jouissance, he establishes the real unconscious. I believe this development is necessary if we are to move forward with the theory of anguish, given the hypothesis that there is no anguish without the Other. Thus, the second part of the paper takes up anguish in Lacan, and raises the question of the three terms we find in Freud's text, Beyond the Pleasure Principle, in which he distinguishes Angst, Furcht and Schreck.
