No. 7 (2003): Versions of psychoanalytic praxis
Subjecting one’s own analysis to the operational framework it inaugurated entails grasping—within one’s theoretical-clinical elaboration—the ways to advance toward reclaiming the authentic reality of the unconscious, as experienced by a subject divided by language. Far from being a mere dogmatic application of doctrine, the act of writing in psychoanalysis constitutes a rigorous labor of transmission and mourning in the face of what cannot be said; here, the materiality of the "letter" shatters prior certainties and interrogates analytical practice regarding the treatment of the "real" and the manifestations of *jouissance*.
In this 7th volume of the journal *Stylus*—a biannual publication of the Association of Forums of the Lacanian Field (AFCL) centered on the theme "Versions of Psychoanalytic Praxis"—analysts and researchers present essays, conceptual debates, and clinical cases that articulate the diversity of the analytical experience. This edition delves into formulations concerning the "end of analysis"—examined through the lenses of the mathematical transfinite and the poetic tragedy of Paul Claudel—as well as topological constructions (such as the Klein bottle), the discursive status of hysteria and psychoanalytic institutions, the intersections between clinical practice, rhetoric, and the epistemophilic drive, and the direction of treatment in cases of neurosis and psychosis, alongside readings of *Radiofonia* (Radio-phony).
