Abstract

In Seminar 6, Lacan teaches us that ignorance is at the base of the constitution of the subject. It is essential support for the neurotic in his relationship with castration. The question of this work is: is there a privileged relationship between psychosis and knowledge? Or again: is there a passion for ignorance in psychosis? To answer this question, in addition to Freud and Lacan, we will use Juliet de Battista, with her thesis that there is desire in psychosis. With Colette Soler, we will approach the concept of narcissism of desire and escabeau. Maria Anita Carneiro Ribeiro will offer us her idea that ignorance is in the psychic structure of every human being. For example, we will bring two clinical vignettes.
