Abstract

The author writes about the notion of real at different times in the teaching of Jacques Lacan. The argument states that throughout this period it is always the same real in question. From the question of hallucination the author discusses the notion of father in psychoanalysis, especially that of the real father. He addresses the question of logic as a way of deciphering the real as the impossible to say. The author concludes that the real of the encounter can only be deduced in the course of cure and that the enticement of signification cannot be avoided in approaching the real at stake.
