Abstract

The work of analysis can follow more or less tortuous trajectories. Accompanying his analysand, the analyst sometimes sees various obstacles arising along the path of the analytical process, if not interruptions. Certainly, the psychoanalyst is not unaware of these impasses, but there are some more specific ones that test the analyst’s desire. These suspensions promoted by anguish, and even increased by panic, appear at the very point of a metamorphosis, of crossing, making the “affect that does not deceive” the indicator of a certainty. How can Lacanian orientation, unlike others, deal with what is at stake in these impasses?
